Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How many signatures are managed?

UFCE manages 1,012 definitions. Some support safe complete carving, while identification-only definitions are reported for review and are not presented as proven complete files.

Does File System Recovery restore every file?

No. It depends on surviving metadata, allocation records and readable sectors. Overwritten, encrypted without credentials, or physically unreadable data may not be recoverable.

Which sources are supported?

Files, recursive folders, mounted volumes, physical drives, disk images and virtual RAID sources are supported through dedicated workflows.

Is my recovered content uploaded?

Recovery content is processed locally. Internet access and sign-in are used for account and licence verification, not for uploading recovered files.

What is the Free Edition limit?

The seven-day Free Edition applies a 10 GB scan limit per operation. Each licence is issued for one operating system only: Windows, Linux, or macOS. It permits one active device at a time. While that device is signed in, a second device cannot sign in. After sign-out, or after ten minutes without a heartbeat following an unexpected shutdown, another device using the operating system for which the licence was purchased may sign in.

What does 33/33 mean?

It refers to the included validation gates for supported workflows. It does not guarantee recovery from every damaged device or replace testing with your own media.
